Introduction to the symposium

  • The Holy Qur’an Symposium in Oriental Studies (16-18/10/1427 AH, 7-9/11/2006 AD):
  • Since the phenomenon of Orientalism has many trends in light of its diverse schools and studies on Islam, especially the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, Orientalists have translated the meanings of the Holy Qur’an into multiple languages ​​over the centuries, and have presented extensive studies on it that have influenced the Western mentality and others in their understanding of Islam.
  • Based on the uniqueness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among the countries of the Islamic world in achieving the honor of leadership in serving the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, and encouraging serious objective studies about it, the Academy organized a specialized symposium to evaluate orientalist studies related to the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, entitled:
  • (The Holy Qur’an in Orientalist Studies)
  • A number of experts interested in Orientalist issues from within and outside the Kingdom will participate.
