Introduction to the symposium
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions, and upon those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment.
Therefore, the General Secretariat of the Complex, under the direction of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdelaziz bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, decided to make the necessary organizational arrangements to ensure that this symposium reflects the importance of its topic and its objectives.
The symposium’s preparatory committee was formed, headed by the Complex’s Secretary-General, Professor

- Explaining the importance of information technology in facilitating the learning and teaching of the Holy Quran.
- Highlighting the Academy’s role in employing contemporary technologies in serving the Holy Quran.
- Explaining emerging jurisprudential rulings specific to the Holy Quran due to the use of contemporary technologies.
- Studying effective means of conveying the message of the Holy Quran to various segments of society.
- Evaluating the service provided by the World Wide Web (the Internet) and software to the Holy Quran.
- Encouraging the creation of software that serves the Holy Quran.
- Warning against programs and websites that are hostile to the Holy Quran.
- Promoting documented scientific research in the field of serving the Holy Quran.
- Encouraging communication between those interested and specialists in the field of serving the Holy Quran and contemporary technologies.
